The storm was raging again. Ephram could hear the wind howling around the Academy building and the rain pounding against the ground. He shivered as he walked up to his wardrobe and draped a green woollen cloak around his shoulders. Of course, he could have just closed the window, but he would not. She would not come otherwise.
Sighing, he returned to his desk and stared at the parchment that littered it. He really should be able to organise his notes better, but right now he was too distracted to think about it. The huge tome next to them had been open at the same page for about half an hour now. The words written on it had begun to los

"Sean, why are you ringing me?" I ask him, "We haven't spoken for months."
"I know, I wonder why that is."
"You know why."
An awkward silence follows. I click my pen and start doodling on the nearest piece of paper on my desk. I should have expected there to be an awkward silence, we haven't spoken since it had happened.
"Well," I demand.
"Well what?"
"Why did you ring me?"
"I had to phone someone so I picked on you."
"Sean."
"Turn on the TV," he says.
"What?"
"Just switch it on," Sean replies, "Turn it to channel three and look who's on there."
"Fine. Hold on."

I got off the bus at the same-old stop and walked the same old way to work. Work: just the long hours of monotony between breakfast and going home. It was filled with the same old people, grey boring people who didn't care about anything apart from which celebrity was getting married and the latest clutch bag.
I walked into my office to see that everyone was glued to their computer screens. I scan the room. Someone's missing, someone's desk is empty. No. This can't be happening.
"Hey, Laura, what happened to Darren?" I asked the red haired woman sitting at the desk next to mine.
She took her earphones out and stared at me in distaste.

It was a hard life being a vampire. Scott knew this very well. But nobody believed him whenever he complained about it to them. Most people thought that vampires were cool, that they were strong, that they could get any girl; that apart from the whole issue with sunlight, life for them was pretty easy.
Scott was the exception to the rule. He was weedy with pimply skin and the girl he liked had snubbed him for a god-damn smelly werewolf. To make matters worse, he fainted at the very thought of blood.
Yeah, life was hard for this vampire.
There was something strange about the bend in the road. It hadn't been right for years. It was the only road out of our village. Yet every time someone walked along it, every time they reached the second bend, they would just disappear forever.
No one knew how or why and no one knew where they went. There had been many investigations about it, many police teams flown in, bodies searched for and every minute detail had be thoroughly analysed; still there were no conclusions.
As a result of this, the villagers were scared. No one took holidays or moved out of the village. No one could. They just stayed in the same houses for years and years,
The clock is boring into my mind. Tick-tock, tick-tock, I can actually feel the time slipping through fingers. I'm growing old here as I waste my time waiting around for her. Ugh, why does she always take so long. We're going to the cinema, not a bloody film premiere.
This sucks. I like her, I really do. I'm sure her parents are nice and everything, but I wasn't ready to meet them. It was kind of unexpected when she told me, I assumed that I'd meet them after we'd been together for a few more weeks.
At least we're only going to the cinema. What a bizarre place to introduce your boyfriend to your parents? Usually, you all just go out for a
It was raining again. It's always raining here. It never stops. This isn't surprising since I am living in a swamp.
I hate it here, I really do. There are bugs everywhere and I appear to be something of a delicacy to them. Still I would rather live here in a dead tree with the bugs and the frogs then with them. They are monsters. They are murderers.
Of course it doesn't matter now, and there's no point in me getting all judgemental about them, since I did help them. But it wasn't my fault, not really. I was doing my job; making weapons for them to defend themselves with. They were fighting in self defence, at least at first. How was I to kn
There she was in all her glory. My arch nemesis Raven Indigo Elfenflower.
All the rumours were true. She was pretty, nay she was beautiful. Her bright pink hair cascaded down her back in waves, glistening like glass in the sun. Her skin was as pale as snow and her big, golden eyes were shimmering like stars. She was wearing mosh boots and a black corset dress that showed of her voluptuous curves and skinny waist.
Her gaggle of fans arrived, crowding behind her to watch the final fight. They're all cheering her and glaring at me. How dare I pick a fight with this wonderful personthis saint! Most of them are male and good looking, but I

Ryan opened his chocolate brown eyes, he was staring up at the sky, grey clouds were floating idly above him. He could smell the distinctive smell of sea salt that hung in the air, the grass felt springy and short underneath him and he could hear the sound of gulls calling as they flew about in the air, mingling with the unmistakable sound of waves crashing against the rocks.
He closed his eyes as he felt the rain drops fall onto his face, savouring it as the beads of water cooled his skin. He felt someones hand reach out and hold his; a familiar hand with elegant, slender fingers. He turned his head and saw Nessarisa lying

Nessarisa froze; the flames reflected in her blue eyes as she waited the inferno consume the room at a frighteningly rapid rate. Ryan turned to her, his face pale.
Nessa, he cried as thick, acrid smoke started to fill the room, We have to get out now.
Nessarisa blinked, suddenly becoming animated again. The smoke had completely filled up the room, becoming thicker and thicker, slowly suffocating the occupants and turning so black that it was difficult to see.
Eyde! Nessarisa screamed at the top of her lungs, Eyde! Where are you?

Part Fourteen: Escape
Great waves of disbelief crashed over Nessarisa as she stared at her cousin standing in the doorway; he was wearing a look of defiance. Still clutching his arm, Erael stood up and faced his son. He picked up a vase with his good arm.
Eyde! he yelled as he threw the vase of flowers at his son, Where have you been, you little shit? Have you been drinking again?
Eyde ducked as the vase sailed towards him; it crashed against the cupboard on the wall behind him, sending china, flowers and water everywhere. He straightened up and remained strangely calm.
No, father, he said in a slight

Part Thirteen: Home Truths
Let me go, let me go! Nessarisa squealed as her uncle hurled her along the corridor. She struggled fruitlessly; his grip on her arm was too tight. Uncle Erael seemed to be ignoring her as he dragged her along, not heeding her screams.
Eventually, they reached the entrance, Nessarisa screwed her eyes shut, overwhelmed by the rush of daylight that flooded her eyes. She gasped as Erael suddenly released her, throwing her to the floor. Rubbing the furious red mark on her arm, Nessarisa looked up at her uncle, his eyes were rivulets of unadulterated hate and she could see the fires of fury burning in them,

Part Twelve: Imprisonment
Nessarisa burst through the front door, out of breath and crying rivers of tears. She was still reeling from the shock of the news that Ryan was to be executed. It wasnt true was it? It couldnt be; Rosaleta was well known for using the truth as a weapon, only telling the truth when she knew it would hurt someone the most.
But still, she had to know, she had to find her uncle, hear the words from his mouth and then she would believe it. Then she could figure out a way to help Ryan escape.
Where do you think youre going? Uncle Erael asked her sternly as she walked into him, You s

Part Eleven: Separation
Nessarisa woke up, it was a bright sunny day and the sunlight streamed in through her window, warming her face; but she couldnt feel it. She found herself, her body aching and bruised, lying in crisp, white sheets. She turned over to find the space next to her empty; her bed was cold.
She sat up to find herself in her own room, she had returned, she was home. She gazed hopelessly around her room that was once so familiar to her, everything seemed distant and cold. Tears sprang in her eyes, she had wanted to come home; shed hated living in the city. But now she was back, everything seemed meaningless.

Part Ten: Discovery
Ryan yawned as he stumbled into the kitchen, it was far too early in the morning to be awake, but he was woken by the obnoxious tones of his alarm clock. He shuffled over to the kettle, dropped a tea bag into a mug and absently ruffled his hair with his hand. The house was silent, where was Nessarisa?
He had woken up to an empty bed again this morning; the sheets on Nessarisas side had been disturbed from when she had crept out of bed. He was starting to get very concerned about her; it had been three weeks Rosaleta had pushed him from the top of the multi-storey car park and they had heard nothing from her. Yet

Part Nine: Truth
Ryan opened his eyes, astonished to find himself in his own room, tucked up in bed and wearing the jeans and t-shirt he wore the day before, which made him feel uncomfortable. He looked around at his surroundings, feeling extremely confused. How had he got here? Why was he all alone? Where was Nessarisa? Had he been drinking? No, he could remember exactly what had happened, the struggle on the top of the multi-storey car park, falling, plummeting down toward the ground and then, a pair of arms holding him tightly, lifting him up, up toward the rooftops...
...And now, somehow, he was here, back at home in his own bed as if
Verden looked out of the window and sighed. It was a summer's day, complete with fresh grass, singing birds and rainbows. It was a good day, a perfect day; or it would be if the weather was real, and the window for that matter. It was just an illusion, a curtain, if he pushed it aside, it would only reveal the damp wall behind it. He grimaced; it had taken him almost a year to make all the windows on request of the King who was catering to the whims of the Higher Ups. The snobs who couldn't stand the fact that they were surround by grey brick and the green slime that seemed to trickle down from the ceiling. Not that there was anything good to
Well, I'm quite shy and very quirky. I'm extremely crazy and I tend to drift off into day dreams all the time. My friends love me for who I am though.
Oh I occaisionally dress up as a pirate when I go out drinking as this pic shows (it may not be clear since I have to dress up on a student budget. I'm the one in jeans.)
I love chocolate, fantasy, cats, writing, reading, films, and just generally having a laugh.
I hate waiting, snakes and annoying, two faced people.
Oh and for those who don't know, the girl in the skirt is my oldest friend (we've been friends since primary school)

Oh wow, it's been almost two years since I last wrote on here. That's a long time. Um, let me see what has happened to me since?
Well, I lost my job at said frozen food supermarket after four months. Which sucked at the time. But after reflecting on it, I think it turned out to be a good thing because the atmosphere there was getting toxic. I was lucky in that I landed a job at another supermarket doing other people's shopping for them not long after. It wasn't ideal, but the fact that I didn't have to sign on made up for the ridiculously early starts.
Anyway, after a few months of home shopping, I decided to quit and moved to London to do
"Mickey, what's pre-revoultionary France doing on a spaceship? Get some perspective."
So yeah, I finally have a job. Woot woot! Go me!
It's only part time (weekends) and it's in a supermarket and I pretty much hate it. But the people I work with are nice and friendly. Also it is better than signing on every fortnight and having to deal with the people at the job centre. My manager is a bit useless though. He keeps over-ordering dry stock so it just builds and builds in the back room and will eventually have to be thrown away. Also, yesterday, he ordered six pallets of frozen when there were only five of us in and it was stupidly busy. We
